Mystic Mountains Tourism Inc.
CURRENT STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT
 
Mystic Mountains Tourism Inc (MMT) is the local tourism association and representative body for tourism in the region comprising Marysville, Narbethong, Buxton, Taggerty, Lake Mountain, and surrounds. MMT is comprised of over 70 members, and its structure includes an executive committee representing the interests of all members. MMT provides representation for its members at the Murrindindi Regional Tourism Association (MRTA) & the Yarra Valley, Dandenong & The Ranges Tourism Board.
 
MMT is primarily resourced through contributions from industry, including MMT membership fees.
A part time tourism development officer is employed by MMT to implement planning and marketing initiatives. Lake Mountain and Murrindindi Shire Council Tourism Officers are further resources available to MMT in relation to its marketing campaign.
 
The Tourism Development Officer works three days per week - the role entails marketing and promotion of Marysville, income revenue streams and connections.
 
The Marysville Visitor Information Centre on average assists in 30,000 enquires per annum and has 60 volunteers who are business owners, members or local community volunteers.
This centre is managed by a coordinator and a roster coordinator.
 
The Executive committee are made up of nominated MMT members and there are portfolios that each of these members hold or are involved in sub committees ie: Marketing, Membership etc.
