Summer at Lake Mountain

Lake Mountain has traditionally been known as a winter destination, with most of the 200,000 annual visitors coming to the resort during the winter months. Whilst summer activities such as bush walking and cycling have always been available, Lake Mountain has now introduced it’s new Summer Activities.

Flying Foxes Lake Mountain is home to 2 very long Flying Foxes. Beginning point on the hill at the Summit Hill walk, finishing on Leadbeater’s Toboggan Run. 240 metres of adrenaline pumping fun. Mountain Biking The Lake Mountain plateau provides a great setting for a bike ride. Mountain bike riding has been identified in recent years as a rapidly growing sport with the number of mountain bikes being sold each year increasing rapidly. Jumping Castle Lake Mountain now have a HUGE Jumping Castle set up on the mountain. Set up in the restaurant, the Castle can hold 25 kids at a time with parental supervision. More » |
All of these activities are available for large group bookings, perfect for birthday’s, bucks parties, corporate/team building days and many more occasion.

Other activities during the warmer months include bush walking, road cycling, nordic walking and mountain bike riding. Over 10kms of new single track mountain bike trails have been built over the past twelve months, with further trail building to take place in the future including a proposed Lake Mountain to Marysville iconic ride. Mountain Bikes are available for hire on the Mountain. An interpretive walk is a new addition, covering several themes including history, fires, flora and fauna.
A visit to the new restaurant (opened June 2011) is a must do if you are in the area, with an excellent menu created by Head Chef Barney. Why not come up and try some of the region’s local wines while looking across our fantastic views from the balcony, views that reach Melbourne City on any clear day.
Melbourne’s family fun mountain is affordable, exciting, and very close. Just a 2 hour drive from the city CBD.
Lake Mountain is an adventure playground ALL YEAR ROUND.
Lake Mountain Resort Summer Operating Hours:
Monday to Friday activities run from 8.30am to 4pm
Weekends activities run from 9am to 5pm
